Position 1:
Network Administrator
We are currently looking for an experienced Windows LAN Administrator
to join a project for one of our clients in Long Island City, NY. This
position is currently scheduled to be an 18 month contract but could
develop into longer term opportunities based on your performance and
their continued needs.
Candidate must have the following experiences:
Minimum total of 4 years experience as a Windows LAN Administrator
is required.
In addition candidate must be proficient in writing and speaking the
English language.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Experience in Windows 2000, 2003, and NT4 network operating systems.
2. Experience in Active Directory, and NT4 domain administration and
the primary network services. (DNS, WINS, DHCP, GPO’s, SUS, DFS,
AV, etc.)
3. Implement and support tape backup and disaster recovery.
4. Administer a network of up to two thousand (2,000) workstations or
assists in administration of a large site or network, utilizing one
or more TCP/IP protocols.
5. Provide technical consulting services to department/organization
regarding use of computers and networks to satisfy business needs.
6. Install, configure, and maintain personal computers, Windows networks,
file servers, Ethernet networks, network cabling, and other related
equipment, devices, and systems; adds or upgrades and configures modems,
disk drives, data acquisition boards, CD ROM units, printers, and related
equipment.
7. Perform and/or oversee software installation, and network operating
system upgrades; maintain site licenses for department/organization.
8. Plan and implement network security, including building firewalls,
applying cryptography to network applications, managing host security,
file permissions, and file system integrity, and adding and deleting
users.
9. Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and
correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
10. May lead and/or guide the work of other staff engaged in similar
functions.
11. Maintain knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology,
equipment, and/or systems.

Position 2:
Desktop Support
Description/Responsibilities: You will act as a technical resource responsible
for the desktop/desk side and server hardware support for a newly acquired
customer. In this role, you will support many platforms (HP, SUN, IBM,
Cisco and Super Computers) and coordinate repair process with internal
technical escalation points and vendor provided assistance. This position
will give you the opportunity to collaborate with the customer's IT
staff and the Help Desk in resolving and escalating problems, as appropriate.
Required Skills:
The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or general education
degree (GED) in addition to three years experience in the Desktop support
industry. Familiarity with All Microsoft operating system
Position 3:
Help Desk
This position is Contract to Direct Hire. While the position is contract
the salary pays $12/hr. The turnaround is anywhere from 3-6 months depends
on your performance and attendance. Once the position becomes direct
hire, the salary has a nice jump to it plus full paid benefits and other
perks the company offers.
You must be flexible with your schedule, available to work first or
second shift and weekends.
